RIU Hotel is Located on the Deira Islands beachfront in Dubai, it offers a 24-hour all-inclusive experience designed to provide guests with a unique and memorable stay. The hotel features a wide range of amenities, including entertainment areas, swimming pools, a spa, conference facilities, themed restaurants, and the Splash Water World water park. ICONICA’s scope of work included the lighting design for the façade, landscape, and pools. The primary objective was to enhance the overall aesthetic of the property while maintaining maximum visual comfort for guests. To achieve this, lighting fixtures were carefully positioned, and specialized techniques such as shielding and masking were applied to prevent direct visibility of light sources from guest room balconies and windows. This approach ensured a seamless visual experience without glare or disturbance. The result is a beautifully illuminated hospitality environment that enhances the architectural character of the hotel while preserving a calm and comfortable atmosphere for guests.​
